HOW TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS:

We do not include flights in our Sedona Retreat. People come from all over and we have found it is more efficient to have you book your own flight, use your miles, or find a deal.

Flights can be booked to Phoenix should arrive late morning. There is a two hour shuttle ride to Sedona. We like you to arrive in Sedona by 3PM so you have time to settle in and prepare for our festive welcome dinner.

You will be picked up at the airport and taken to our retreat location. Upon completion of the retreat, you will be taken to the airport at a time that corresponds to your flight home.

Terms and Conditions

Not included: Airfare from your home City and back and in country flights other than those noted in our itinerary. Passport and visa fees. Meals not mentioned in our itinerary. All beverages and items of a personal nature such as laundry, room service, communications charges will be your responsibility. If you plan to purchase gift and souvenirs, you will want to bring extra funds for this purpose. our guides and drivers. Trip cancellation and medical insurance is not included.

Tipping: Guides and drivers, and other presenters should be tipped personally by you if you feel you have received value.

Payment: Personal checks, money orders, bank transfers and cashier checks are welcomed. Please make checks payable to Portals of Transcendence. Arrangements for additional payments toward the trip cost can be made after the $1,200 deposit using a credit card, however, there is a 3% fee to cover our costs for that service. You must supply proof of sufficient travel insurance to cover the cost of the trip in case of cancellation or medical emergency. The full and final payment for the trip is due 60 days prior to the scheduled departure. If the final payment is one week late without prior arrangements, a late fee of $200 will be assessed. We reserve the right to drop anyone who does not complete their final payment two weeks after the due date without a refund.

Cost Increases: Tour costs are printed well in advance of our actual travel dates. In exceptional circumstances, the cost of your international trip may be subject to increases which we cannot absorb, due to reasons such as currency fluctuations, fuel costs, tariffs, dues, taxes and fees overseas, the costs of services overseas, additions/adjustments to the tour program, or developments beyond our control. We regret this situation and we do everything possible to avoid surcharges, but sometimes it is unavoidable. We reserve the right to adjust prices before the tour as these changes are made known to us. An increase in tour prices shall not be grounds for refund of all or any part of payments made towards a tour, and completing the tour registration form constitutes your acceptance of this provision.

Cancelled Trips: Portals of Transcendence reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inadequate sign-ups that make the trip economically infeasible to operate. While we make every effort to fill each trip to the point of maximum economy for everyone and do all possible to avoid canceling trips with low sign-up; we can adjust the price of our journeys in order to guarantee departure with a smaller number of participants. The price adjustments imposed by a smaller number of participants are kept as low as possible, normally as little as 5%, and not more than 15% increase over the stated price. If trip cancellation becomes necessary, we will transfer you to another trip, offer you future trip credit, or refund your payment in full. The refund of all payments received shall release Portals of Transcendence from any further liability. Portals of Transcendence is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by members in preparing for the trip, such as non-refundable advance purchase airline tickets, visa and passport fees, equipment or medical costs. In circumstances where trip cancellations resulting from the inability for trip to depart as scheduled, such as cancellations due to acts of war and/or terrorism, war, God, or nature takes place, Portals of Transcendence is not liable for restitution.

Cancellation and Refunds: All cancellations must be in writing, and are effective based on the date received in our office. Refunds will be granted based on the following schedule:

Deposits are non-refundable. Partial refunds may be given prior to 90 days before departure in accordance with the situation.

Up to 75 days days prior to departure: Full refund (or credit) minus original $1200 deposit.

74 – 60 days prior to departure: 50% refund of payments (or credit) over $1,200 (non-refundable) deposit minus any non-refundable expenses pre-paid to Travel Suppliers. (As payments are made according to the schedule, the money is sent on to secure hotels, air travel and other services for your journey).

Less than 60 days: No refund of payments received.

No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the trip. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.

Responsibility: Maya Dream, LLC dba Portals of Transcendence, an Arizona Corporation with its principal place of business in Sedona, Arizona or its representatives and associates, act only as agent for the Tour Operator(s). The various hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines, and sightseeing companies are called Travel Suppliers. They are independent agents who supply the accommodations, transportation, and other services described in this brochure. All coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts, tickets, etc. issued through Portals of Transcendence are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the Travel Suppliers. Acceptance of Portals of Transcendence travel program and/or such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts, tickets, etc. acknowledges that Portals of Transcendence and the traveling member are subject to any and all tariffs, terms and conditions under which any such Travel Suppliers, their owners or contractors or any persons in their employ may have established.

By utilizing the service of the Travel Suppliers you agree that neither Portals of Transcendence nor any of their liaisons, agents or associates shall be liable for any delay or change in flight or itinerary schedule, strikes, loss, damage, or injury to your property or person or that of those traveling with you including death caused by reason of others’ negligence, wrongful or intentional acts, acts of God, terrorist acts, governmental or political actions, civil unrest or hostilities, fires, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, accidents not withstanding any travel advisories or warnings, or for defects of equipment of any Travel Supplier, for any expense or inconvenience caused by late arrivals of any conveyances of such Travel Suppliers or any changes of schedules, conveyances or accommodations determined by any Tour Operator, or for any cancellation or disruption of any such services provided by any such Travel Suppliers; or for any failure on the part of any such Tour Operator or Travel Supplier to perform by reason of financial difficulty or default, suspension of operation, or other reason; or for any refunds for Tour Operator or Travel Supplier, or not paid over by Portals of Transcendence to any such Tour Operator or Travel Supplier.

Neither Portals of Transcendence, nor any of their associates, agents, or liaisons shall be financially responsible to any tour member in the event of cancellation of all or part of any tour due to acts of war, nature, governmental action; civil unrest or hostilities, or acts of terrorism, or for the default of any Tour Operator or Travel Supplier, or for any reason beyond control of Portals of Transcendence.

Travel Supplier(s)/Tour Operator(s) provide the travel services identified with this travel program, and the travel program participant agrees to look solely to such Travel Supplier(s)/Tour Operator(s) for the provision to such travel services; the Tour Operator or Tour Director/Manager/Escort shall have the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a travel program participant should such travel program participant’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the travel program or the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other travel program members, and no refund can be given in such cases. The right is reserved to substitute tours or alter itineraries, and either the Tour Operator or Portals of Transcendence shall have the right to cancel any travel program prior to departure or to increase prices where the costs shall rise.

Portals of Transcendence is not responsible for any refunds should a presenter advertised as attending or leading a tour or conference cancel for any reason whatsoever. Portals of Transcendence reserves the right to substitute presenters and leaders should this be necessary or feasible. Notice of such substitution will be given to program participants, but this substitution will in no way change the terms of the agreement between Portals of Transcendence and the program participant; nor can it be construed as a reason for refunds. Portals of Transcendence is not responsible for any physical, mental, emotional, or other reaction, trauma, or ailment during the trip or occurring afterwards, that participants may experience at the sites or from any leaders, workshops, or sessions of any kind, including private sessions with presenters, shamans and healers. Attendance on the trip indicates acceptance of this and all other provisions of this responsibility clause.

Portals of Transcendence has recommended the purchase of appropriate travel accident insurance, baggage insurance, tour operation carrier default protection insurance, and trip cancellation insurance, and has made available explanatory information and policies, and the travel program participant has had the opportunity to purchase such insurance as protection against certain risks of travel to the planned destination. Travel program partipants are advised that travel insurance covers only what is included as stated as covered in the travel insurance brochure you receive from your personal agent. It is the responsibility of the program participant to be certain they are purchasing the coverage they desire. Portals of Transcendence will give $100 to the program participant as an encouragement to purchase this insurance. Upon proof of insurance presented by the program participant, the $100 will be deducted from the cost of the journey.

Neither Portals of Transcendence nor the airlines or transportation companies concerned are to be held responsible for the late arrival of passengers at airports or resorts due to inclement weather, nor are they to be held liable for payment of, or any refund for, transfers or unused hotel accommodations or meals occasioned by such late arrival at the hotels holding rooms as confirmed itineraries. The airlines or transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible any acts, omissions or events during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines or transportation companies and the purchaser of this travel program and/or passengers.

Maya Dream, LLC dba Portals of Transcendence is not a travel agent and is acting only as a business agent through Travel Suppliers and contractors providing transportation, hotels, and sightseeing activities. Maya Dream, LLC, nor Portals of Transcendence assumes any responsibility for personal property loss or damage or personal injury, regardless of the cause, and/or in relationship to any service.

Neither Maya Dream, LLC nor Portals of Transcendence shall not be liable to you in any way for events over which these companies have no control: political action, weather, acts of God, terrorism, criminal or negligent acts of others or criminal or negligent acts of the travelers or the results thereof. Maya Dream, LLC and Portals of Transcendence reserves the right to alter, change or omit any part of the routing, itinerary, reservation or form of conveyance, at any time, without notice, where deemed necessary or advisable for the comfort and well-being of the group.

Travel Insurance: You must ensure that you have appropriate travel insurance for the entire duration of your holiday to cover you for cancellation, illness, death or personal injury, medical treatment, damage to and/or loss of luggage, repatriation etc. Portals of Transcendence will reimburse you $100 toward the purchase of this insurance.

Trip Pricing: Portals of Transcendence is constantly striving to set up exquisite journeys with a high value proposition for our program participants and in so doing speaks with new suppliers all the time. Should we be able to negotiate a better price for this or any other journey, that new (discounted) price will be reflected in your package cost.

Passports: The passport of the program participant must have an expiration date six months prior to completion of travel. Portals of Transcendence collects information concerning the passport number, date of birth, and full name of the travel participant which must be provided to secure hotels, trains, boats, planes, and other forms of conveyance and service within the country or countries where we travel. The accuracy of this information is essential and a photocopy by email or fax of the passport is to be delivered to Portals of Transcendence so your reservations are accurately completed. This document will be completed along with the initial deposit.

Releases and Agreements: Travel program participants acknowledge a full release of Maya Dream LLC dba Portals of Transcendence, its liaisons, agents and associates concerning all items outlined in this agreement and do so by forwarding their initial deposit to us. In order to participate in this journey, this unconditional release becomes part of and is incorporated in to the transaction. It is your sole responsibility to consult a physician concerning any medical conditions that may limit or prohibit you from taking this journey and to receive medical advice from a physician.

Neither Maya Dream, LLC nor Portals of Transcendence shall be liable to you in any way for events over which these companies have no control: political action, weather, acts of God, terrorism, criminal or negligent acts of others or criminal or negligent acts of the travelers or the results thereof. Maya Dream, LLC and Portals of Transcendence reserves the right to alter, change or omit any part of the routing, itinerary, reservation or form of conveyance, at any time, without notice, where deemed necessary or advisable for the comfort and well-being of the group.

Maya Dream, LLC or Portals of Transcendence may have cause, in the future, to change or modify the “Terms and Conditions” of this journey. If such changes or modifications are made, it is the responsibility of Maya Dream, LLC or Portals of Transcendence to notify each participant by email and postal mail service. Terms and Conditions as stated herein are binding on all parties for the journey to Peru.
